Job summary

FOCUS Team Insurance Group in Alabama is seeking an Underwriter Associate CL-I (Workers' Comp) to deliver concierge-style service to insureds and agents, handling renewals, billing, policy setup, and inquiries across small to mid-sized commercial accounts. You will validate documents, coordinate with policyholders, and support the client lifecycle with accuracy and compliance.

The role features rotating shifts through 8:00 PM ET, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and opportunities for remote

Qualifications

• Experience: Basic customer service and/or insurance.
• Prior call center or high-volume customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls and service tasks: policy documents, billing, renewals, claims, cancellations, reinstatements.
• Locate policies in the system, review accuracy, ensure timely delivery to policyholders.
• Communicate with insureds, agents, and underwriters to confirm renewals, provide updates, and answer coverage questions.
• Support issues in new line quote submissions.
• Set up agency system accounts and process FNOS and FNOS Renewal tasks.
• Process cancellations and perform pre-cancellation outreach to retain business.
• Review expirations and communicate with underwriters and clients.
• Support agents by preparing documents and handling service requests.
• Intake claim information and initiate carrier reporting.
• Maintain documentation and track servicing tasks.
• Follow up on outstanding items and meet timelines.
• Cross-train within Service Center Flex Team.
