Job summary

Insurance Office Of America, Inc. seeks an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.

The role focuses on policy administration, renewal negotiations, and service excellence within a remote-friendly environment across the West. Ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ in insurance, an active P&C license (CIC preferred), and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Active licensing; CIC certification preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Direct daily activities of the account management team
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to requests
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures
• Seek best practices to improve performance
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership
