Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. You will handle admin tasks, policy administration, billing, claims, and renewals.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C license, and strong communication and analytical skills. Remote work is available for Eastern/Central Time zones; onsite options may be needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking and organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned book of business, retain clients and support new business.
• Coordinate daily admin and customer service activities, resolve complex issues.
• Maintain policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis.
• Renewals: monitor expirations, prepare submissions and negotiations.
• Direct account management team's daily activities and performance.
• Ensure data accuracy in agency systems and carrier platforms.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and uphold IOA values.
