Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain accounts, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day admin and customer service, resolve complex issues, and ensure accuracy.

The role requires an active P&C license, strong communication and leadership, and MS Office proficiency. Remote work is offered for Eastern/Central Time Zone candidates, with some on-site needs possible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity and ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively respond to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Pursue continuous improvement and best practices.
• Demonstrate IOA values and leadership.
