Job summary

Insurance Office of America) is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book, retain accounts and support new business. Remote role is available for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones; on-site may be required per policy.

You will coordinate admin and customer service, handle renewals, billing, and coverages while leading the account management team. The role requires an active P&C license and strong service orientation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance.
• Active P&C license required; CIC preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organization.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent communication with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to service requests.
• Stay updated on company policies.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
