Job summary

American Family Insurance seeks an experienced insurance placement professional to guide carrier partnerships and manage a profitable book of business. You will assist field agents with underwriting decisions, pricing, and policy submissions while maintaining strong relationships with brokerage partners.

The role requires a producer license and a track record in commercial/personal lines placement, with the ability to analyze risk and work across multiple carriers.

Qualifications

• Licensed property and casualty producer; must be licensed in resident state.
• Experience in account management/insurance placement for commercial/personal lines.
• Knowledge of underwriting concepts and pricing guidelines.
• Ability to analyze risk, loss history, and credit checks.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate placement of accounts with admitted/non-admitted carrier partners or brokers.
• Consult on a broad variety of commercial/personal lines coverages.
• Explain carrier options to field agents within territory.
• Oversee a book of business to ensure profitability.
• Review underwriting information and price according to guidelines.
• Handle new/renewal placement and negotiate with sales/service teams.
• Provide carrier information and process guidance to agents and staff.
• Support sales efforts with vendor product information and internal sales support.
• Maintain relationships with brokerage and alliance partners.
