Job summary

American Family Insurance Group seeks a senior leader to execute complex ceded reinsurance placements across the enterprise. You will work with business and product leaders, brokers, reinsurers, actuarial, catastrophe modeling, finance and other stakeholders to craft underwriting submissions and assess transfer strategies.

You will analyze exposure, premium and loss data, evaluate catastrophe modeling results, and recommend reinsurance structures and terms.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of property and casualty reinsurance and treaty structures.
• Strong ability to analyze exposure, premium, loss data and pricing terms.
• Experience presenting complex reinsurance findings to senior leaders.
• Proven track record leading large, cross-functional reinsurance projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ceded reinsurance placements (treaty and facultative).
• Coordinate data collection, validation, reconciliation, and analysis for submissions.
• Develop comprehensive underwriting submissions communicating portfolio characteristics and strategy.
• Evaluate alternative structures, risk transfer terms, and pricing with brokers/reinsurers.
• Mentor team members and provide guidance on placement analytics and market considerations.
