Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee a book of business with a focus on construction, contractors, and habitational risks. Hybrid preferred; 1 day in the Binghamton, NY or Syracuse, NY office or fully remote for Eastern/Central Time Zone residents.

Ideal candidates hold an active P&C license, with 3–5 years in account management, strong analytical and customer service skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business to ensure retention and support new business.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues with accuracy and timely follow‑up.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and ensure data accuracy.
