Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support growth. Hybrid role with a preference for one day in a Binghamton, NY or Syracuse, NY office, or fully remote for those in Eastern/Central Time Zones.

The role requires an active P&C license; CIC or equivalent is preferred. You will lead a team, handle policy administration, billing, and renewals while delivering proactive, service-driven account management.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities; resolve complex issues.
• Renewals and policy management: expirations, renewals, and submissions.
• Monitor accounts receivable, delinquent balances, and data accuracy in systems.
• Lead the account management team’s daily activities and ensure service excellence.
