Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. Hybrid work is preferred with one day in NY offices or remote for Eastern/Central Time Zones.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, has 3–5 years of account management or 5+ years in insurance, and can handle policy administration, renewals, and client communication. Strong MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active P&C licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day admin and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain policy management, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Renewals: client research, submissions, negotiations, and proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
