Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain accounts, and support new business development. Hybrid work arrangement includes 1 day in the Binghamton, NY or Syracuse, NY office; fully remote option for Eastern/Central Time Zones.

Ideal candidate has 3–5 years of account management (or 5+ years in insurance), an active P&C license, and CIC designation preferred.

Qualifications

• Active property & casualty (P&C) license required.
• CIC designation or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years account management experience or 5+ years in insurance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure timely completion of activities and suspense.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver proactive, high-quality service and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek continuous improvement and demonstrate IOA values.
