Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. Hybrid preferred; one day in NY offices or fully remote for Eastern/Central Time Zones. A valid P&C license is required.

Ideal candidate has 3–5 years account management or 5+ years in insurance, strong client service and analytical skills, with MS Office proficiency and high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business to retain accounts and support new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day admin and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Ensure accurate policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Oversee policy expirations and renewals, with proactive client communication.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present renewal proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accuracy.
• Keep the team updated on workload and issues through regular communication.
• Drive service excellence and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Champion IOA values with integrity and leadership.
