Responsibilities include handling loss assignments, reserving, coverage analysis, drafting complex correspondence, and supervising outside vendors. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12+ years of insurance experience and a strong background in commercial general liability claims examination and coverage analysis.
• Proficient with Windows-based tools (Word, Excel, Email) and related applications.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and sets up new loss assignments in a timely manner per guidelines.
• Establishes initial loss and expense reserves and reviews file adequacy regularly.
• Analyzes policy language with loss facts to reach coverage decisions.
• Drafts complex coverage correspondence and disclaimers in compliance with state statutes.
• Manages litigated claim files from inception to closure with a focus on cost efficiency.
• Documents all file activity with strategy, plan of action, and exit plans.
