Job summary

Nautilus Insurance Group, part of the W. R. Berkley family, seeks a Litigation Specialist to handle advanced-level, primarily litigated, commercial general liability losses in a fast-paced, paperless environment. Location flexibility includes Scottsdale, AZ or remote for a qualified candidate.

Responsibilities include reserving, coverage analysis, detailed correspondence, and vendor management, with collaboration across departments and leadership discussions.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12+ years of insurance experience with strong background in commercial general liability claims examination.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials and regulations.
• Proficiency with Windows programs: Word, Excel and Email.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and sets up new loss assignments in a timely manner per guidelines.
• Establishes initial loss and expense reserves and monitors file adequacy.
• Analyzes policy language with loss facts to determine coverage.
• Drafts complex coverage correspondence and reserve letters.
• Manages litigated claim files from inception to closure and coordinates with vendors.
• Documents all file activity and strategy in notes and reports.
• Presents loss facts in roundtables and reports to management.
