Davies North America is seeking a Commercial Liability Claims Supervisor to lead the commercial auto and general liability claims team remotely. The role requires supervising a staff, reviewing claim files, and ensuring quality service across the territory, with a focus on staffing, mentoring, and collaboration with counsel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management and clients.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Minimum 5 years supervising a staff on the handling of claims
• Monitor staffing needs, mentor and develop staff
• Investigate and settle commercial auto and commercial GL claims
• Review/Prepare written status and large loss reports for clients
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary
• Work closely with counsel to settle litigated claims
• Effectively communicate with staff, management and both internal and external customers
• Other duties as assigned
