Liberty Mutual Insurance in Colorado is seeking an attorney to join our legal team for moderately complex civil litigation involving personal injuries and property damage. The role is primarily remote within Colorado, with required appearances as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB from an accredited law school.
• Colorado bar admission in good standing; special licenses may be required for federation boards or courts.
• Minimum of 5 years of trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance defense/litigation.
• Proven ability to manage moderately complex litigation and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Strong research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation for moderate to heavy-value claims.
• Support senior counsel through trial preparation, hearings, and negotiations.
• Develop and refine discovery, investigation, and trial strategies.
• Use e-discovery tools and data analysis to streamline workflows.
• Provide clear legal opinions and strategic advice to clients and Claims.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks in collaboration with clients and senior attorneys.
• Design and deliver training for Legal, Claims, and related teams.
• Ensure documents comply with MRPC and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow improvements.
