Job summary

Wheels, Inc. seeks a Repair Specialist I to ensure collision repairs on client vehicles are performed promptly and cost effectively in line with I-CAR & ASE standards.

This remote role involves reviewing repair estimates via PenPro by Audatex, Mitchell, and CCC, negotiating costs, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating with drivers, shops, and Network Management. Training is in Des Plaines, IL for 2–3 weeks.

Qualifications

• Two years automobile adjusting or appraisal experience.
• High School diploma required.
• ASE Body Certification preferred.
• Estimating or appraisal certification within 18 months of hire date (e.g. I-Car Damage Analysis 2-4 or ASE B6).
• I-Car Platinum Certification within 18 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Authorize collision repairs and/or repair recommendations for Wheels clients.
• Review and approve repair estimates using I-CAR resources, Mitchell, PenPro by Audatex, and CCC.
• Negotiate repair costs to fleet or network rates.
• Issue and verify purchase orders.
• Assist and instruct drivers and MAP Repair and Subrogation Specialists.
