Avēsis is hiring a remote Collections Specialist to manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and reduce past-due balances through proactive outreach and issue resolution.

The role blends analytical work with customer interaction, requiring independent judgment, prioritization, and collaboration with Billing, Cash Application, and Account Management to improve cash flow and service. This is a remote position within the United States.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of collections or accounts receivable experience.
• Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing account portfolios.
• Experience using AR systems and working with customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and databases.
• Remote role with internet requirements (50 Mbps down, 10 Mbps up).

Responsabilités

• Manage and prioritize a portfolio of delinquent accounts with timely follow-up.
• Perform outbound collections on 30, 60, 90, and 120+ days past due by phone, email, written correspondence.
• Research and resolve short payments, underpayments, unapplied cash, and discrepancies.
• Identify root causes of delinquency and coordinate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Billing, Cash Application, Account Management, and other stakeholders.
• Manage and track payment disputes from identification to resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to management as appropriate.
