Avsis is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and reduce past-due balances. This remote role requires analytical thinking, strong communication, and collaboration with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve cash flow.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in collections or AR, proficiency with AR systems and Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate multiple systems while maintaining customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• 2-5 years of collections or accounts receivable experience.
• Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing account portfolios.
• Experience using AR systems and working with customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and databases.
• Remote role requires reliable internet (50 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up).

Responsabilités

• Manage and prioritize a portfolio of delinquent accounts with timely follow-up and resolution.
• Perform outbound collections activities on accounts 30/60/90+ days past due via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Research and resolve short payments, underpayments, unapplied cash, and discrepancies.
• Identify root causes of delinquency, incl. billing inaccuracies and enrollment discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Billing, Cash Application, Account Management to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
• Track payment disputes from identification to resolution with proper documentation.
• Escalate complex issues to management as needed.
