Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a lead for the Coding and Data Integrity Unit. The role supervises daily workflow, trains staff, and aligns coding/charging processes with organizational goals.

The position supports auditing, policy development, and collaboration with Patient Financial Services to ensure timely, accurate coding. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a lead role in acute care, strong communication skills, and proficiency in ICD-10 CM and CPT coding.

Formación

• 2+ years in a lead role in a progressive acute care setting.
• Experience with training, quality improvement, compliance and record keeping.
• Ability to develop policies and procedures for the coding process.
• Proficient in ICD-10 CM and CPT coding.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises the daily workflow of the Coding and Revenue Integrity Unit to ensure timely completion of work.
• Proactively plans for high census, vacation, and leaves to meet the goal of coding/charging within 4 days of discharge.
• Coordinates staff calendar and serves as liaison with Patient Financial Services regarding coding/charging and unbilled issues.
• Orients and trains new staff; verifies competence and provides ongoing training for the unit.
• Participates in the Revenue Cycle Workgroup and collaborates with Information Services to review and test coding needs.
• Assists in developing processes to optimize operations within the Coding and Revenue Integrity Unit.
• Assists leadership in improving HIM systems and coordinating internal/external audits.
• Performs people management duties including engagement, recruitment, performance management and development.
