CorroHealth, Inc. is seeking a Facility Outpatient Coding Quality Specialist (Auditor) for a remote role open to candidates in the United States.

The role focuses on retrospective analysis of medical records to ensure compliant coding and optimal reimbursements. You will review diagnoses and procedures, mentor staff, and align coding practices with AHIMA/AAPC guidelines while maintaining privacy and security standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years (preferably 3) experience coding and/or auditing for Inpatient and Outpatient facilities.
• Must have AHIMA or AAPC coding credential.
• C coding Certification -- preferred (CPC or CCS).
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work remotely with telecommuting and EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex retrospective analysis of medical record documentation to identify coding and billing errors and inconsistencies.
• Analyzes audit findings to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Provides second‑level review of diagnosis, procedure and billing codes for compliance and reimbursement.
• Researches inquiries regarding compliance, inappropriate coding, denials and billable services.
• Provides feedback training to internal coding staff regarding coding, documentation and payer requirements.
• Adheres to AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding and Company Code of Ethics.
