Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a HB Coding Strategic Data Analyst to transform complex coding data into actionable insights that support performance, compliance, and strategic decision-making across hospital billing coding operations.

The role focuses on reporting, dashboards, and analytics to help coding leadership identify outpatient trends, measure outcomes, and improve financial performance and coding accuracy. This is a 100% remote position within the NM system.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in health information management or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of data analytics experience.
• Working knowledge of KPI management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
• Epic and CAC technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary analytics resource for Coding Leadership transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, reports, and ad hoc analyses.
• Analyze coding and revenue cycle data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
