Kennametal Inc. is seeking a CNC Tooling Sales and Application Engineer to drive metal-cutting tool sales growth within an Eastern North Carolina territory. The role combines technical direction with sales execution, requiring field work, customer engagement, and collaboration with internal teams.

A company vehicle is provided, with a base salary plus performance bonus and benefits from day one. The position is home-office based in the territory, with 80%+ field activity across customer sites.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in CNC machining industry experience
• 1-2 years of technical sales and/or application experience preferred
• Proficient in product knowledge, troubleshooting, and tailoring solutions
• Solid understanding of industry dynamics and how to align products with customer needs
• Strong sales techniques, objections handling and closing strategies

Aufgaben

• Meet or exceed revenue targets by effectively providing metal cutting solutions.
• Generate, qualify, and manage all sales leads, prospects, and new customer accounts.
• Proactively manage the complete sales process from prospecting to pricing and negotiations.
• Develop and execute strategic territory plans to deliver revenue goals and new product sales.
• Provide timely answers to pre-sales technical and commercial queries.
• Maintain up-to-date customer and project records in CRM to ensure a clean pipeline.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide value and a positive end-to-end customer experience.
• Perform online or onsite demonstrations of metal cutting products tailored to customers’ needs.
• Conduct pre-sales workshops, webinars and events within the territory.
• Represent Kennametal at tradeshows and conferences within the territory.
• Deliver cost savings through analysis of complex application needs and tool recommendations.
• Prepare and present progress, status, and forecasting reports.
