Job summary

H. T. PROF Group seeks a CNC Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-precision CNC metal-cutting machines, including milling, grinding, measuring, and automation systems.

This role requires travel to customer facilities for installations, repairs, training, and service calls. You will provide onsite and remote support, diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and basic networking issues, replace components, and document service activities.

Qualifications

• Field service or technical support experience with CNC machine tools or industrial automation.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and software troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with CNC controls, machine-control computers, or monitoring systems.
• Ability to replace components, configure systems, and provide basic networking support.
• Technical education or certification in CNC machining or related field.
• Ability to work independently and document activities clearly.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer facilities (up to 60%).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and repair CNC machine tools and automation systems.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support for CNC machine tools.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, hardware, and basic networking issues.
• Troubleshoot CNC controls, machine-control computers, and monitoring systems.
• Replace computer components and complete system configurations and repairs.
• Assist customers with CNC machine operation and technical questions.
• Document service activities, repairs, findings, and follow-up actions.
• Escalate complex CNC issues to engineering and technical support teams.
• Travel to customer facilities for installations, repairs, training, and service calls (up to 60%).
