Job summary

Carenet Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for a remote position in the United States. The role supports prescription refills, patient interactions, and data tracking, with strong emphasis on compliance and quality.

Compensation is $17 per hour plus a full benefits package. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least three years in retail pharmacy, Medicare Part D knowledge, HIPAA compliance, and a current CPhT or national certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED and 3 years’ retail pharmacy experience.
• Extensive Medicare Part D knowledge: record review, claims, billing and reimbursement.
• HIPAA privacy and CMS security rules; Part B and Part D coverage knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescription refill requests via phone, email, fax, and Telephone Encounter.
• Verify validity and accuracy of refill requests per regulations.
• Prepare and dispense prescription refills following established protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Track KPIs for prescription refill processing and report trends to leadership.
• Adhere to schedules and maintain productivity metrics.
• Provide admin support for refill program projects and studies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflow and patient care.
