Job summary

Carenet Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for a fully remote, work-from-home role in the United States. You will handle prescription refills, verify data accuracy, and support clinicians while delivering empathetic service to patients and providers.

Required CMA/MA certification, at least 3 years in retail pharmacy, HIPAA and Medicare Part D knowledge, and strong communication skills. Fluency and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a retail pharmacy.
• Knowledge of Medicare Part D, including record review, claims, billing and reimbursement.
• HIPAA privacy and security rules knowledge; CMS security requirements.
• English proficiency; bilingual or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle prescription refill requests via phone, email, fax, and chat.
• Verify accuracy and compliance with guidelines; dispense refills accordingly.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Track KPIs for refill processing and report trends to leadership.
• Support clinical staff and managers on projects related to medication refill programs.
• Collaborate with teams to improve workflow and patient care outcomes.
