Job summary

Carenet Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care operations remotely. The role focuses on processing prescription refills, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

You'll collaborate with pharmacists, providers, and patient services, handle data analysis of refill trends, and uphold high-quality customer service while meeting productivity metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a retail pharmacy.
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare Part D, particularly the pharmacy record review, claims, billing and reimbursement rules.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and CMS security requirements.
• Working knowledge of Medicare Part B and Part D coverage guidelines and payment methodologies.
• Preferred Education, Experience & Skills: Bilingual, National Certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to prescription refill requests through multiple channels (phone, email, fax, Telephone Encounter).
• Verify the validity and accuracy of refill requests, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and dispense prescription refills accurately and efficiently following procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Compile and analyze data to track KPIs related to refill processing and present trends to leadership.
• Adhere to schedules and quality metrics to maintain productivity.
• Provide administrative support to clinical staff and managers on medication refill programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflow and patient care outcomes.
