Job summary

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Cloud Security Administrator to join the Information Technology - Security team. This remote role supports the firm’s cloud presence and reports to the Information Security Manager.

The targeted salary range is $105,000 to $125,000, with actual pay determined by experience and location. You will help deploy secure cloud resources, monitor security postures, participate in incident response, and assist with audits while collaborating with DevOps, Networking, and MSP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience; CISSP helpful.
• Proficiency in Microsoft cloud tech (Azure, Office 365).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper employment of security solutions including Cloud Security Posture Management, SIEM, and other cloud settings.
• Help teams securely deploy resources in our cloud environment.
• Administer cloud-based privilege access and conduct access reviews.
• Implement and monitor cloud-based security baselines and controls.
• Monitor security posture of firm cloud resources.
• Review security events via SIEM and dashboards.
• Work with DevOps to secure code and pipelines.
• Participate in incident response as part of CSIRT.
• Assist with audits and questionnaires.
• Be part of after-hours incident call tree.
