Job summary

Legion Technologies is seeking a Director of Production Engineering to build and lead a global DevOps/SRE organization responsible for reliability, automation, and security of our AWS-based production platform. The role balances hands-on architecture work with strategic roadmap execution.

You’ll drive incident management, security operations, and observability practices while partnering with engineering and IT to maintain high availability and compliance.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in DevOps/SRE/production infra with people management.
• Hands-on AWS production workloads (EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, S3).
• Experience leading SecOps: vulnerability management, incident response, remediation.
• 5+ years using observability tools to drive reliability and alerts.

Responsibilities

• Hire and lead a globally distributed DevOps/SRE team.
• Own reliability/infrastructure roadmap for AWS-based production
• Lead SecOps practices including vulnerability management and incident response
• Define and track engineering OKRs for infrastructure reliability, automation and security
• Champion observability and automated alerting (Datadog)
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and automation to increase velocity
• Collaborate with engineering/IT on standards, access controls, and compliance
• Ensure security, compliance, and data protection across the platform
• Participate in on-call incident management and ensure availability goals
• Provide guidance on cloud, DevOps, and security best practices
