Job summary

Foundant is seeking a Director of Cloud Operations to own end-to-end cloud platforms for a portfolio of SaaS products. You will drive availability, performance, and cost efficiency across multi-region deployments and partner with Development, Security, and Support to ensure seamless handoffs and operational excellence.

The role requires hands-on leadership of SREs and sysadmins, a strong CI/CD and IaC background, and a track record of optimizing cloud spend while maintaining compliance across

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cloud operations or infrastructure leadership
• 5+ years in a director-level role
• Hands-on expertise operating multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure)
• Experience leading availability incident management and RCAs for production environments
• Experience in CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code environments
• Experience managing cloud hosting costs at scale
• Proven ability to build and develop teams of sysadmins/SREs
• Legally eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end cloud operations across Foundant's SaaS portfolio
• Lead availability incident management and RCAs for production environments
• Oversee configuration and change management across CI/CD and traditional release pipelines
• Manage multi-region hosting costs and balance performance with compliance needs
• Build and lead a team of system administrators and SREs
• Collaborate with Development, Security, and Support to ensure readiness and handoffs
• Establish and improve monitoring, alerting, and performance management practices
• Additional duties as assigned
