Job summary

RTX is seeking a Cloud Engineer to provision, configure, operate, and maintain Windows and Linux infrastructure in cloud environments (Azure or AWS). You will work with a small team on cloud projects, design new workloads, and automate tasks to reduce off-hours support.

The role requires strong scripting (PowerShell, Terraform/HCL), AD/VMware skills, and experience across cloud and on-prem environments. This is a remote US-based position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in MIS, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or STEM field with 5 years of experience or equivalent
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-based solutions on Azure and/or AWS across Windows and Linux servers
• Proficiency with Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, and scripting for automating Azure infrastructure management

Responsibilities

• Provide provisioning, installation/configuration, and maintenance of Windows/Linux cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions
• Design and support cloud applications infrastructure and ongoing operations
• Create system documentation and enforce best practices
