Job summary

RTX is seeking a seasoned Cloud Operations professional to join the PST program and embedded XetaCloud Operations team. You will support day-to-day cloud operations, primarily on Microsoft Azure and AWS, manage Linux/Windows VMs, and help mature the cloud ecosystem with incident resolution and proactive improvements.

The role entails on-call rotation, documentation, and adherence to IT policies. Remote work is allowed from the U.S. with potential site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• University degree with 5+ years experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years, or 9 years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS) including networking, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, etc.).
• Experience managing production infrastructure using ITIL v3/4.
• Technical communication skills for user-facing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide cloud operations services for Azure and AWS.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server VMs.
• Resolve incidents and fulfill service requests.
• Investigate and permanently resolve problems.
• Contribute to proactive problem management.
• Design, document, test, and implement changes.
• Support compliance and vulnerability management.
• Improve monitoring and automation.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation; second shift.
