Availity, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Cloud Database Architect V to define the enterprise cloud database strategy and lead architecture, modernization, and optimization across the organization. You will design scalable, reliable database solutions for healthcare applications serving millions of users.

In collaboration with engineering, security, and platform teams, you will drive migration initiatives, establish governance, and implement IaC, CI/CD, and cost-optimization

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 10+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, or architecture.
• 5+ years designing cloud-native database solutions.
• Proficiency with AWS; experience with Azure or GCP preferred.
• Deep expertise in at least two enterprise database platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora) and tools (DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Redshift, DMS).
• Experience with disaster recovery, multi-region architectures, and high availability.

Responsabilidades

• Define and drive the enterprise cloud database strategy and architecture standards.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient database solutions aligned with workloads.
• Lead modernization and migration initiatives, with cutover planning and rollback strategies.
• Architect high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region capabilities.
• Establish governance, security, backup, and operational readiness standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and guide adoption or retirement decisions.
