Job summary

Ladders is assisting a healthcare leader in seeking a Cloud Database Architect V to shape enterprise cloud database architecture in a mission-critical environment. You will lead modernization, governance, resiliency, and partner with technical teams to deliver secure, scalable data platforms.

The role focuses on cloud-native database strategy, migration planning, and operational excellence, with deep expertise across multiple enterprise database technologies and AWS-based services such as RDS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years in database engineering, administration, or architecture.
5+ years in cloud-native solutions.
Experience with mission-critical database platforms in public cloud environments, especially AWS.
Deep expertise in at least two enterprise database platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience with AWS database services like RDS and Aurora; familiarity with IaC.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the enterprise cloud database strategy and architecture roadmap.
Design scalable, secure, and resilient database solutions.
Lead modernization and migration initiatives; assess and design solutions.
Architect resilient databases with high availability and disaster recovery.
Establish enterprise standards for governance, security, and ops readiness.
Evaluate emerging database technologies and lifecycle management strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design tradeoffs and implement.
