Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a senior-level medical coder educator to deliver proactive coding education across CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and risk adjustment, while guiding onboarding and compliance training for Physicians and APPs. The role includes monitoring workflows and supporting documentation accuracy.

Ideal candidates hold AHIMA or AAPC credentials with at least 4 years of expert coding experience and strong Epic knowledge to optimize reimbursement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Certification in AHIMA/AAPC required.
• 4 years of expert-level coding experience.
• Experience with Epic and charge review workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proactive coding education through newsletters, scorecards, and presentations on CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS.
• Lead onboarding and compliance training for Physicians/APPs, including residents and students.
• Provide individualized documentation feedback and escalate non-coding issues.
