Job summary

UW Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Budget Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert in coverage analysis and budgeting for clinical trials. You will evaluate study documents, develop budgets, and negotiate terms with sponsors, while ensuring compliance with CMS rules and institutional policies.

The role includes supporting CTO projects, creating standardized budgeting procedures, and contributing to website content and training materials for researchers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, business, healthcare administration or related field.
• Three or more years’ experience with coverage analysis, clinical research study coordination or management, health systems operations, or related healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform coverage analysis of clinical trial protocols, budgets, and documents.
• Develop audit-ready study billing grids aligned with CMS rules.
• Assist investigators in determining study status under Medicare rules and classify services.
• Analyze sponsor budgets and contract documents to negotiate comprehensive study budgets and terms.
• Contribute to CTO metrics, SOPs, and training materials.
