Job summary

MCMC is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Quality Assurance Coordinator to review peer review reports and ensure high-quality, evidence-based recommendations. This remote role leverages your nursing expertise while aligning with client specifications and regulatory requirements.

You will ensure accurate clinical citations, maintain confidentiality, and provide insights to management on compliance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license required (RN/LPN/LVN).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory values.
• Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 WPM.
• Knowledgeable of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance review of peer review reports, correspondences, addendums or supplemental reviews.
• Ensure clear, concise, evidence-based rationales support all recommendations and determinations.
• Follow client instructions; address all questions and ensure reports meet client specifications.
• Ensure reports are well-formatted, high quality and compliant with company standards.
• Verify appropriate board specialty review and attestation of facts; document accurately.
• Identify inconsistencies and obtain clarifications from Peer Reviewer as needed.
• Assist in resolving client complaints and quality assurance issues.
• Promote compliance with ERISA/state mandates and company policies.
