Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Technical Applications Specialist in Clinical Microbiology to implement and optimize instrumentation and software in clinical labs. You will travel up to 75% within the territory, partnering with sales to drive adoption and deliver hands-on support that improves workflow and patient outcomes.

This role is remote and part of the Microbiology TAS team serving the Chicago region.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years' experience or Master’s with 3+ years' experience in clinical or related field.
Experience in clinical microbiology lab and/or technical applications with hands-on troubleshooting.
Experience verifying and validating consumables, instrumentation, and workflows.
Ability to engage across all staff in a clinical microbiology lab and communicate technical insights to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead front-line support in clinical labs, ensuring accurate, timely results.
Implement MicroScan analyzers with customer-driven plans to improve turnaround times and stewardship.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and address needs with urgency in IT/LIS contexts.
Collaborate with sales and lab leaders to align microbiology solutions with priorities.
Assist in optimizing lab workflows and applying microbiology tech across systems.
