Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) RN to partner with physicians, perform first and second level reviews, and support accurate coding and DRG assignments in a hospital setting.

You will review ICD-10-CM/PCS, query providers, conduct mortality and quality reviews, and participate in team training to improve documentation and outcomes. Indiana-based onsite role with remote consideration per state guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3 years ICU/critical care clinical experience is required.
• Experience in clinical documentation integrity functions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic to intermediate CDI reviews and re-reviews under supervision.
• Submit queries to providers and manage first and second appeal levels.
• Collaborate with physician advisor on appeals and denial tracking.
• Perform rounding, mortality reviews, and second level reviews.
• Review ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and assign DRGs per official guidelines.
• Abstract data from charts and systems for documentation accuracy.
• Identify documentation gaps and communicate with providers to capture proper documentation.
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement activities.
