Mosaic Life Care in Oklahoma City is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Documentation Integrity team as a CDI Specialist. You will perform initial and subsequent CDI reviews, query providers, and support first and second level appeals with physician advisors.

You will also participate in mortality reviews, DRG assignment, and data abstraction to ensure accurate documentation. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license in state or compact required upon hire; CCDS/CDIP to be obtained within 2 years.

Aufgaben

• Performs basic to intermediate CDI reviews and re-reviews; submits provider queries and handles first/second level appeals.
• Evaluates and partners with physician advisor on appeals and denial tracking.
• Rounding on patients, mortality reviews and second level reviews are performed.
• Reviews ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and assigns DRG based on Official Coding Guidelines.
• Abstracts data from charts and systems using guidelines; documents findings thoroughly.
• Collaborates with coders and interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate documentation.
