Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Team Lead for General Liability to supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff across liability claims for clients. The role requires monitoring workloads, training peers, and providing technical/jurisdictional direction on examiner reports and claims adjudication.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in claims, 2+ years in a supervisory role, and home-state licensing (NY preferred).

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years claims supervisor experience.
• Home state licensing or reciprocity; NY preferred.
• Jurisdiction knowledge: All states.

Responsabilités

• Supervises multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for liability claims.
• Monitors workloads, provides training, and maintains diaries on complex/high exposure claims.
• Provides technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Compiles reviews and analyzes management reports and takes action.
• Performs quality review on claims in compliance with audits and standards.
• Serves as second level of appeal for client/claims issues and implements final disposition.
• Reviews reserve amounts on high-cost claims; monitors litigated/sensitive claims.
• Maintains client contact and fosters professional relationships; reports on claim status.
• Ensures proper licensing of direct reports and proper documentation in files.
• Assists with other duties and supports the organization's quality programs.
