Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking an entry-level Claims Operations Associate I to support the setup, processing, and administration of workers’ compensation claims. The role is remote, requiring residence in the Pacific Time Zone, and offers 37.5 hours per week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in claims operations, claims processing, or related insurance support.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must reside in the Pacific Time Zone and be able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer, claimant, and internal inquiries via phone, email, and voicemail in a timely and professional manner.
• Set up and enter new claims with complete and accurate information.
• Review claim submissions for discrepancies or missing data.
• Utilize claim management and workflow systems to track activities and workload.
• Document claim activity accurately and maintain records in applicable systems.
• Assist with creating and distributing general correspondence and claim-related communications.
• Collaborate with claims professionals to support efficient claim handling.
• Escalate non-routine or complex issues to management.
