Ladders is seeking a Claims Manager to oversee the lifecycle of professional liability claims in a fast-paced remote setting. You will partner with Corporate Counsel, outside counsel, and insurance representatives to influence outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance across multi-jurisdictional claims.

The role emphasizes claims strategy, investigations, and settlements, with collaboration from medical and legal experts to drive resolutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in professional liability claims adjusting.
• JD (Juris Doctor) preferred.
• Thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
• Strong understanding of claims handling policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional claims.
• Comfortable working alongside a Third-Party Administrator (TPA).
• Proficient in litigation and settlement negotiations.
• Intermediate knowledge of professional liability products and relevant technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track active professional liability claims while keeping Corporate Counsel informed on all matters.
• Assist with claim investigations and determinations of compensability, collaborating with external legal support as needed.
• Work with outside counsel and insurance representatives to obtain current claim insights.
• Ensure adherence to state regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical and legal experts to advance claim resolutions and assess settlement requests.
• Participate in mediations and trials.
• Consult regularly with Corporate Counsel to devise claim strategies and review progress.
