Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Claims Coordinator to locate and secure temporary housing for displaced policyholders. You will coordinate with policyholders, carriers, and vendors to view options, confirm availability, and arrange terms.

The role requires 1–3 years in property or housing-related fields, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills. This is a fully remote position with a fast-paced environment and occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Communication, Business Administration, or a similar field preferred.
• Real Estate License is a plus.
• 1-3 years’ experience in property management, real estate, leasing, temporary housing, or a similar field.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with multiple communication channels (mobile apps, text messaging, Salesforce/CRM).

Responsibilities

• Search and locate temporary accommodation options for displaced policyholders.
• Communicate with policyholders to understand accommodation needs and coordinate logistics for viewings.
• Obtain carrier approval via National Account Manager.
• Contact vendor partners to confirm availability and suitability of options.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, fees, and deposits for temporary housing.
• Process furniture orders for housing claims and paperwork for options.
• Present options for approval to the National Account Manager.
• Maintain accurate records and update internal databases.
