Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Site Lead, Power Delivery to lead civil site work for transmission and substation projects. The role supports our Energy Business Line with flexible remote work and offices across the United States.

Responsibilities include managing earthwork, drainage, and foundations, coordinating with electrical teams, and providing technical leadership. Travel to sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with site grading, drainage, roads, earthworks, and substation layout and transmission access.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation for civil design and detailing.
• Understanding of substation site planning and integration with electrical layouts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all civil work at substation and transmission site locations.
• Create and supervise earthwork, grading, drainage, access roads, trenches and foundations.
• Review civil drawings, documents, and provide practical solutions.
• Manage site surveys including geotechnical and LIDAR for routes and layouts.
• Review and approve construction methods and contractor plans.
• Identify and mitigate site constraints and constructability issues.
• Coordinate with electrical, protection, planning and project management teams.
• Interact with client engineers daily and maintain client relationships.
• Provide technical leadership to site civil engineers and mentors.
• Support proposal effort estimates and project handover activities.
• Assist with planning and scheduling within the site civil discipline.
• Travel to other AECOM locations and client sites as needed.
