Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Site Lead, Power Delivery to support Transmission and Substation projects within the Energy Business Line. Role accepts remote work and/or placement at Energy offices across the United States.

You will lead civil work at substations and transmission sites, coordinate with electrical teams, review designs, and mentor staff. Requires PE license and 6+ years of relevant experience; CAD/MicroStation skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Professional Engineering license (P.E.).
• Proven experience with site grading, drainage, roads, earthworks, and substation layout development and transmission access/alignment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation for civil design and detailing.
• Understanding of substation site planning and integration with electrical layouts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all civil work at substation and transmission line sites, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Create and supervise earthwork, grading, drainage systems, access roads and foundations for substations and lines.
• Review and interpret civil design drawings and provide practical solutions.
• Coordinate site surveys (geotechnical, LiDAR) to support routes and layouts.
• Review and approve civil construction methodologies and work plans.
• Identify and mitigate site issues with timely technical support.
