Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Civil Rights Compliance Specialist to support the investigation and resolution of discrimination in service delivery. This remote role manages data collection, reporting, and regulatory alignment across multiple states, focusing on language access and equity within patient care.

You'll collaborate with Clinical Risk, Patient Experience, and Compliance teams to analyze cases, maintain documentation, and contribute to training and policy improvements that advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, legal studies, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 3+ years in civil rights, disability rights, investigations, or health care policy development.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diplomacy across patients, clinicians, and leadership.
• Ability to analyze complex civil rights issues and provide informed recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; quick to learn EHR and incident tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Support and conduct investigation and resolution of lower-moderate civil rights and language access complaints.
• Identify, analyze, mitigate, and prevent risk related to civil rights concerns.
• Maintain confidential documentation of complaints, investigations, and resolutions per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead tracking, analysis, and reporting of civil rights and language access cases.
• Coordinate collection and validation of patient demographic data for regulatory reporting.
• Assist in preparing and submitting the Wisconsin State Civil Rights Compliance Plan.
