Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Civil Rights Specialist to support investigation and resolution of civil rights and language access complaints. You will analyze risk, maintain confidential records, and drive enterprise-wide reporting on civil rights issues.

The role requires collaboration across Clinical Risk, Patient Experience, and Compliance teams, with strong communication skills and a focus on health equity and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, legal studies, healthcare administration, or related clinical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support and conduct the investigation and resolution of lower-moderate acuity civil rights and language access complaints.
• Identify, analyze, mitigate and prevent risk related to civil rights concerns.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of complaints, investigations, and resolutions in alignment with policies and regs.
• Lead tracking, analysis, and reporting of civil rights and language access complaints with enterprise-wide impact.
• Coordinate collection and validation of patient demographic data for regulatory reporting.
