Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill is seeking a civil engineering intern for the Community group in Rhode Island. The 12-week, paid summer internship supports design teams on site design projects and offers hands-on experience with client projects under a collaborative team environment.

The internship runs full-time Monday through Friday, with opportunities to work flexibly and remotely as part of our comprehensive benefits and work-life balance offerings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree focusing on site design and land development.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.
• Prior CAD experience preferred.
• Ability to perform field work.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic site and drainage designs.
• Implement Sustainable Site design principles.
• Assist with the preparation of local, state & federal permit applications.
• Provide construction administration support.
• Execute design-related computer programs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and Synchro.
