Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill is seeking a civil engineering intern for our Land Development team in Providence, RI. This 12-week paid summer program offers hands‑on site design experience, working with our Community Development group in a collaborative office environment.

The role is hybrid, combining in‑office collaboration with remote work Part of the week, with a focus on design, permits, and CAD tools, under experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with a focus on site design and land development.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Prior CAD software experience preferred.
• Ability to perform field work.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic site and drainage designs.
• Implement Sustainable Site design principles.
• Assist with preparation of local, state & federal permit applications.
• Provide construction administration support.
• Execute design‑related computer programs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and Synchro.

Skills
